Back in 1981, a man in Somalia was trapped in solitary confinement for a made-up crime and overwhelmed by hopelessness and anger. Until he hears a knock on the wall ... and words from another time and place.

This is a commission project with NPR Joe's Big Idea. The animation is introducing Mycelium, an alternative new packaging material to styrofoam that was invented by engineer Eben Bayer, which was inspired by he's childhood memory.
